Grow a bonsai tree by using time manipulation!

Press the play button to accelerate time and start the growing process. While time is accelerated, the time flies will come out! The main branch of your bonsai will try to grow away from time flies, but any smaller branches will grow towards the nearest one.

Use the pruning tool to snip off a part of the tree. The cut branch will no longer grow (but the trunk will still expand).

Use the fly swatter tool to swat time flies! Swatting one will kill it and cause it to fly, and if it hits a branch of your bonsai, a new branch will start growing out of that spot. You can also just swat them offscreen.

Use the spray tool to push the time flies around.

Use the reset button to reset your bonsai to the start (just a small nub of a tree).

The view out the window shows the sun and moon cycle.

Caveats
There is no point to this game. This is not how trees actually grow (I don't know how trees grow). Enjoy!

Im noot to sure what the aim is? Do I try and make it looks good or be as tall as possible? The time flies dont seem to make any new branches appear either. Regardless I really like the aesthetics you went for and I love the idea of the game!

I mentioned that in the “Caveats” section: currently, there is no point to the game haha. I had planned on making it so you are trying to shape your bonsai to match a goal shape, or have it so there are customers who want certain shapes, but that was waayyy too ambitious for the amount of procrastination that happened.

Did you hit the time flies with the swatter? Sometimes the branches like get stuck behind the main branch, which is definitely a bug. I have the base of the new branch be like the middle of the old branch instead of being on the edge where it hits, and then also the new branches sometimes start to grow in weird directions so they stay hidden behind the main branch. It’s all kinda wonky haha

Thanks for the review!
